LABEL PRINTING
Shipping Label Size Checker
Check whether your shipping label dimensions match the paper or label stock you're printing on, and find the correct scale setting before you print.
Solving Shipping Label Printing Problems
4 × 6 inches (101.6 × 152.4 mm) is a widely supported thermal shipping-label format used by major carriers and e-commerce workflows. While USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL commonly support this format, carriers may also accept alternative sizes such as 4 × 4 inches or standard sheet layouts. Problems arise when the printer driver settings don't match the loaded label stock.
Why Labels Print at the Wrong Size
The most common issue is "Fit to Page" scaling. When your printer driver is set to Letter or A4 paper but you're sending a 4 × 6 layout, the driver may shrink the label to fit the larger sheet. To fix this:
- Set print scaling to 100% (Actual Size).
- Set the paper size in the driver to match the physical paper loaded.
- Disable "Fit to Page," "Shrink to Printable Area," and similar options.
Printing 4 × 6 Labels on A4 or Letter Paper
If you don't have 4 × 6 label stock, you can print on standard A4 or Letter paper and cut the label to size. Set the paper size in the driver to A4 or Letter (not 4 × 6) and print at 100% scale. The label will appear at its actual size in one area of the sheet.
